Oconomowoc is enjoying a flurry of activity, especially now that nice weather is upon us. Last Saturday the city was busy with the 5k/Half Marathon starting on Village Green and the start of the Summer Farmer’s Market in the parking lot across from Bank Five Nine. This Saturday there will literally be a “big splash” into Lac La Belle with the SOFA events that begin at the City Beach and go on the whole day with music and a little something for everyone (all free to enjoy). Stapleton Realty has always been a big supporter of our community and this week we had the first organizational meeting for the annual Boat Parade which will be held on August 21st, this is something we started a number of years ago, and is enjoyed by all. Because it wasn’t able to happen last year, we look to bigger and better entries for its return this year. It’s a really fun event to be a part of, so if you have a pontoon boat, canoe or anything that floats, consider decorating it and putting it in the parade. It’s as fun to be a participant, as it is to watch.
